At Childpeace Montessori School, your family can become part of a warm, engaged community where highly trained Montessori educators cultivate curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. For 50 years, we've been helping children thrive through authentic Montessori education. We hope you’ll join us for our upcoming Open House so that you can experience what makes Childpeace such a special place to learn and grow!

What to expect

The first hour will include some quick words from our team, followed by guided group tours of our Toddler, Children’s House, Elementary, and Middle School environments. After the tours, we’ll round out the afternoon with a community gathering on the playground where you can chat with the Childpeace community, play games and enjoy some treats.

Who this event is for

Families exploring programs for children ages 12 months through 8th grade. You'll have the opportunity to visit every program area.

Parking

Street parking is available on NW Thurman and the surrounding neighborhood. Please allow a few extra minutes to find a space.

A school built around how children actually grow.

Come see classrooms designed for small bodies and curious minds. Meet the guides who'll know your child by name for three years, not three months. Talk to families who've been part of this community for a decade or more.

We've spent 50 years focused on how children grow, not just what they learn. The Open House is your chance to see what that looks like in practice. You'll walk through Toddler, Children's House, Elementary, and Metro Middle School spaces. You'll see the materials, the mixed-age classrooms, and the three-hour work cycles that make authentic Montessori different from what you might remember from your own schooling.

Bring your kids. Bring your questions. Stay as long as you'd like.

Here's what to expect:

4:00 PM — Arrive, sign in, and grab some Childpeace swag for your family

4:15 PM — Welcome and introductions

4:20 PM — Guided tours of our classrooms and campus

5:00 PM — Community gathering on the playground

Stay for the celebration

From 5:00 to 6:00, join us outside for live music, ice cream, snacks, and games for kids and adults alike. This is when you'll meet current Childpeace families and experience the warmth of our community firsthand. It's our favorite part of the day.
